Mika Klippenstein

Artist statement and Bio: 

Vancouver based painter, Mika Klippenstein (she/her), has been painting and studying art since her youth, from going to an integrated art school followed by post secondary where she explored many different mediums and methods of painting. Mika has been mainly focusing on painting the female form in the last few years, using acrylic paint on canvas or wood panels to create work that represents femininity, vulnerability, and expression of sexuality. 

The collection of work celebrates the human body’s beauty through a sexual, feminine, and intimate lens. While the subjects remain anonymous, we are welcomed and enveloped into a soft and gentle world created by the artist.
